A red & green mix of a European spinach that tolerates hot temps without bolting. Though drought tolerant, keeping them well watered improves the flavour.Eat the young leaves & pinch out any flowers buds to extend the season. Ornamental as well as edible.
40-60 days to harvest. Prefers deep, rich well-drained soil.
Best planted in September, October, November, December, January, & February.
Direct sow or in trays, 10mm deep, rows 30cm apart, plants 30cm. Tolerates most soils including saline.
