SQUASH: GUATEMALAN BLUE BANANA

(CUCURBITA MAXIMA)

This highly productive South and Central American heirloom produces cylindrical fruits with dark blue skin featuring pale blue stripes which grow up to 50cm long! The flesh is bright orange and possesses a nutty and sweet flavour, reminiscent of a butternut pumpkin. Perfect roasted or baked, this variety also stores well.
